13. Will Hyndman
Son of Mark Hyndman and Eliza Wilson. Taken before October, 1863 when he was wounded in the right ear and taken prisoner. He later escaped and retuned to his Cavalry Company only to be wounded again. Mustered out as a Brevet Major, he then attended Harvard Law School. He went West settling in Ketchem, Idaho. Hyndman Lake and Hyndman mountain, Idaho is named for him. He was a friend of President McKinley. He wrote his remembrances in the Civil War in Company A, 4th Pennsylvania Cavalry called A History of a Cavalry Company. a good read, I recommended it.
