Photographs below were purchased by Bill Auld on eBay. The comments below are his except what is contained in brackets [ ] and in brown are by me-Will Brown

Not sure who he is - but my guess is that he's either Samuel Kennedy or George McCloskey - it's a Zelner photo (i.e., a Mauch Chunk photo).

This photo is identified as Annie Kennedy - also a Zelner.

[Could easily be the young Mary Ann Kennedy below. New information from Jack Sterling shows that an Annie Kennedy, born about 1864, was the daughter of Samuel and Mary Ann Kennedy. Samuel was the son of Samuel and Jennie (Blair) Kennedy]

This photo may be Katie Kennedy - I think I have a note about that somewhere, but there's no notation on the photo - notice the facial resemblance with #2. [Annie Kennedy] Also a Zelner.

[In the Samuel Kennedy cemetery plot in the Mauch Chuck Cemetery there is a Kate Kennedy, aged 17, died 1 June 1878. No Kate Kennedy was found associated with the James and Jane Kennedy family in the 1870 census.]

Labeled as Mary Ann Kennedy - there is a duplicate of this card in the bunch labeled Mary Kennedy. A Joseph Brown card.

[There was a Mary Kennedy, daughter of James and Jane (Andrews) Kennedy. She was born about 1859. This woman looks to me to be at least 30 years old. I do not believe that carte de visite photographs were common in the 1890s.

Again, new information from Jack Sterling shows a Mary Ann, wife of Samuel Kennedy. Most likely this is she.]

Return to Jenny Kennedy Page

One of two photos taken in Allentown by Wertz - see this one and #7 on the bottom. [the one below] My thought is that these were sisters - perhaps Hyndmans.

They do not look like Hyndmans to me.
